

Ruby Vest Neves, 100 years old, of Travelers Rest, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Service wias conducted on Friday May 19th at 11:00AM at Bethany Baptist Church located at 30 Bethany Road in Travelers Rest, SC 29690. Visitation was held from 6:00PM – 7:30PM on Thursday May 18th at The Howze Mortuary located at 6714 State Park Road in Travelers Rest, SC 29690. Francis Downtown and at River Falls Rehabilitation for the tender love and care for our mother. We would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses and CNA’s at St. She was a special lady who became known to so many as “Nanny” through the years as a Pastor’s wife. We would also like to thank everyone who loved her so much. The Scruggs Family would like to especially thank Bethany Baptist Church for their unwavering financial support over the past 20 years. She loved her dog and companion of 13 years, Sir Lancelot She loved to sit and watch the birds and the squirrels on her back porch.

Scruggs loved to receive flowers of any kind. Most of all she was loyal and faithful to her Lord and Savior. Scruggs was a loyal wife, mother, and grandmother. Scruggs was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Scruggs was pre-deceased by 2 sons, Steve Scruggs, and Randy Scruggs, one daughter-in-law, Louise Scruggs, 2 sons-in-law, David Johnson, and Rusty Tolbert and one great-granddaughter Cadence James. Scruggs had 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews that loved her very much. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Dale Scruggs and a very special sister-in-law Starlena Owens. Surviving are here children, Susan Scruggs Johnson, Kathy Scruggs Tolbert and Tim Scruggs (Robin). She was married to the love of her life, the late Pastor Ray Scruggs.

Scruggs was born on March 3rd, 1934, in Pickens County to the late Ben and Cora Whitlock Owens. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, SC She went peacefully into the arms of Jesus, the one she had accepted as her personal Savior on September 12th, 1957. Hazel Owens Scruggs 89, of Travelers Rest, SC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 14th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Travelers Rest Church of God, P.O. Burial was conducted at Cleveland First Baptist Church Cemetery. A funeral service followed the visitation in the church sanctuary beginning at 2:00 p.m. Lauderdale, FL along with many loving nieces and nephews.Ī visitation was held Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. He was a member of the Marietta Lions Club and a member of Travelers Rest Church of God and dearly loved his church family.įrancis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Robinson Pace daughters: Laura Pace of the home and Sandra Reese (Michael) of Marietta two grandsons: Tyler (Mary Joy) Reese of Summerville, SC, and Brandon Reese of Marietta sister: Margaret Mullinax of Zirconia, NC and two brothers: Ross (Anne) Pace of Hendersonville, NC and Dan Pace of F.

“Skeeter” as he was affectionately known went back to school and earned his Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics from Greenville Technical College and retired as an independent Diesel Mechanic and Jack-of-all-Trades. Francis Kimsey “Skeeter” Pace, 82, of Marietta, husband of Mary Ann Robinson Pace, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at his home.īorn in Zirconia, NC, he was the son of the late Lucian Pace and Madeline Ross Pace.
